Fishing - possibly our worst fishing trip ever

We went up early to go fishing. A driver picked us up and brought us to the Big Buddha pier. The boat was pretty full. We went a short distance out of the harbour to a nearby reef and started fishing. There was absolutely no action. 18 people fishing and nothing happening. After a while we changed position and later had lunch. Michael got a bit seasick but recovered after going to the upper storey of the boat and lying down. Later it started raining hard. We shifted position a couple of times but to no avail. When we decided to call it a day, we had caught 2 fish the size of sardines, 1 sea snake, and a squid (!).

It was raining so hard we had to use our towels for shelter and later the boys moved in to a storage compartment of the boat which was dry and warm...

While we were suffering hardships out at sea, my clever wife was enjoying her day, going to Fisherman´s village on the scooter to have a foot scrub and her nails done. Later she had a good lunch at our restaurant. Anticipating our early return because of bad weather, she waited for us in the bungalow when we came home exhausted, wet, and cold. Philip and I each had a hot shower, went to bed and slept for a good long while.

Torrential rain outside our hut.

In the evening we enjoyed a big meal and had a movie night (streaming on my laptop) in our bungalow while the rain was peltering down outside.

During the night I again heard the mysterious heavy animal that lives on our roof (in the attic?) of our bungalow bumping about. It sounds like it has claws...
